Camp Of Champions – “Whistler Bound”

By Adam on Tuesday, July 14th, 2009

Over the last 11 days the Commit team embarked on an epic adventure to the sports Mecca of the world. Arriving in the beautiful town of Whistler, British Columbia, we settled in to our townhouse and rested for the days ahead. Days which would be spent on the Blackcomb glacier riding Camp Of Champions. The finest snowboard/ski park built in Canada. Thanks to Fabia Gruebler and Ken Achenbach COC Camp owner and director we were able to bring our team down to do some fun filming for the upcoming video by Dubs Brothers and Jah Raven titled “Extra Ordinary”.

The ski team consisted of Ben and Sandy Ogilvie, two kids who hold it down with the best of the best. Getting props daily from big named pros for their switch tens and good attitudes they are a force to be reckoned with (check updated team page for more info coming soon). On the Snowboard side we had Mikel Witlox and Chris Bradley. These guys come from two totally different riding back rounds and were able to show how their unique styles work well to compliment each other. Others involved in the fun include long time Commit rider Rob Heule, famous actor Dane Cook and good friend Tim Morden (a kid from LA that kills everything as well as himself).

Join us over the next week to see the trip unfold through mini edits from day to day, as well as a final week video to show the highlights of all the best tricks. For now here are some pictures to tie you over. (courtesy of COC Camp of Champions)

Madd Props great trip, and thanks to all the supporters of the Commit Revolution. This one will be televised………

"I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning that is the best they are going to feel all day."

Good Times
"Maybe there is no Heaven. Or maybe this is all pure gibberish—a product of the demented imagination of a lazy drunken hillbilly with a heart full of hate who has found a way to live out where the real winds blow—to sleep late, have fun, get wild, drink whisky, and drive fast on empty streets with nothing in mind except falling in love and not getting arrested . . . Res ipsa loquitur. Let the good times roll."
